I Think community is important in regards to surfing. Especially when you are viewing it as a culture or a sacred common ground between individuals. It is equally important to give a well placed nod to those who set an example and stand against the homogenization of that same culture. This is why we put on our monthly events. We love to bring people together to celebrate the unique work and inspiration that comes from people's relationship with the ocean and surfing. Whether it's sonic or visual, photo, paint or film, the presentation and showcase of these special creative works is always a good reason to get together, raise a glass and turn the music up loud... The only issue is getting up early the morning after to surf.
